What??
Oh, you didn't think I meant... Um, you know. Really kiss me over the garden gate.
Did you?
Oh, my. It's just the name of a flower.
You may breathe a sigh of relief now.
With such an weird name, I had to try growing one. Turns out. They're pretty stinkin' awesome. For a flower.
Just look at this willowy beauty:
Drippy, droopy rosy blooms.
Heart shaped lime green leaves and interesting markings on the stems.
Bonus: They reseed themselves. Every year. And they are pretty tolerant of a wide range of conditions.
Here is another strange flower:
Love Lies Bleeding
Is that hilarious or what? A plant with dreadlocks.
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11

ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteIt gets 90's here. Once in awhile:) We have wild weather: 90's a few days, then 40's. Tough on flowers and gardens. These flowers tolerate a wide range of moisture, temps, and just generally weird weather. It's worth a try. Let me know how they do for you!
How unique, love these !!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful flowers and I LOVE LOVE the name, lol.
ReplyDeleteYes they are unique and I love the name, too! The person(s) who named them must be a hoot:)
