Gray & White Chevron Blanket… With a Train!

Hi friends! Just wanted to show you this chevron afghan I recently shipped to a sweet baby boy in North Carolina.

Crochet Chevron Baby Blanket {puddintoes}

I can’t take credit for the design idea… This was a custom piece for a very excited new grandma, made to match her grandson’s nursery!

You can look for a few more chevron baby blankets soon.  I really love the gray and white chevrons and stashed a few more design ideas in my sketchbook.

  1. Hello,
    Do you possibly have the pattern for the gray and white chevron blanket with the train. I would love to make this for my Niece's baby. Thanks so much for any help.

  2. Hello,
    I don't have a pattern for the blanket or train. I'v made the chevron so many times I have it memorized :)

    The client sent me a photo of the baby's quilt and I made the train to match that photo. I just crocheted, ripped out, and crocheted again until it resembled the photo.

    There are chevron blanket patterns on Etsy and also Ravelry.com. You can probably also find some kind of train applique pattern on these sites, too.

    Happy crocheting! :)

  3. Can you tell me the finished size and how much yarn you used? Is this a chevron or ripple?

  4. Hello, I crocheted this 5 years ago and don't remember what size it is. The pattern is chevron and I made the trains to match a photo the customer sent me. Hope that helps :)

  5. How did you attach the train cars and clouds to the blanket?

  6. They are sewn on with yarn and a tapestry needle.
