Wednesday Update

It’s chilly and rainy here today.  The high is forecast as 47.  (We can only hope).
So on this fine cold-enough-to-be-but-not-quite-fall day, I have some things to show you from PrairieCottageRose.
Pumpkin row table runners add just the right splash of color to your house!

Not enough hours…

in my days lately.  I’m sure you know the feeling.
Desperately trying to keep up with homeschool, work and a few special requests for my Etsy shop.
Here are the newest items in PrairieCottageRose:
November 075 Crocheted cotton spa set and handmade soap in a vintage carved and lined box.  I’m really loving this box.  A lot.
November9 055
Snowman table  runner with red scarves.  I’m so happy with how they turned out.  This is a close up of 2 snowmen, but there are 5  of them, cut paper doll style in this runner.
November9 068
This one is my absolute favorite.  I love the colors… not just for Christmas, but for the snowy winter months, too.  It is already on the way to its new home. Yay!
November9 076 November9 085 SaNTa table runners in green and red.
November9 109
November9 099 Santa coffee cozies in red or green.
Up next:  Baby Jesus table runners, a special suggestion from a sweet and patient buyer in AuSTRaLiA!
So how’s your Monday starting so far?

Weekend Boutique

Time for Friday's Weekend Boutique!! Please drop by the Pretty Organized Palace to find lots of talented and crafty people.

Here are a few of the bits and bobbins available in my Etsy shop.

The last Hoot 'n Holler pair. The others have all flown off to their new perches homes.
The last pumpkin runner.
Hand crocheted spa set in a vintage basket...includes handmade minty rose Shea butter soap.
Crocheted neck warmer / capelet. I wear mine at work to keep warm sitting at the computer.

This Queen Anne's Lace scarf is one of my favorites! I found the pattern among my Grammy's papers. It was originally intended to be made as a thread crochet edging on sheets and pillowcases. I love making it into scarves instead!!

What I've been making... Part 2

Crafting,boutique,for sale
I am delighted to participate in Pretty Organized Palace's Weekend Boutique! What fun to peek in and see what all you crafty people have been hand making with love. And I'm hoping for a little PR for my PrairieCottageRose & Puddintoes Etsy shops, too:)

Today I'm highlighting the newest autumn handiwork from PrairieCottageRose:

Harvest moonlight hand painted plate. This is a pattern from Terrye French and one of my favorites to paint. Love the prim moon watching over a little saltbox farmhouse and the scarecrow guarding the pumpkin patch.

Prim ruffled turkey and pumpkin table runner. (Mr. Turkey is trying to hide out in the punkin patch. Thanksgiving is coming, you know:)

A prim scarecrow table runner. He has forsaken the corn patch in favor of his beloved pumpkins. He may, in fact, be the very same scarecrow in the above painted plate. There is an uncanny resemblance.....
See more of my Scarecrow and Turkey pumpkin runners and harvest moonlight hand painted wood plate here.

June Challenge

The SHE team June challenge was really fun this month. The theme was patriotic and I managed to get an item finished for each of my shops. I was inspired to crochet this blanket for puddintoes and Liberty angel runner is from prairiecottagerose.

Did you know I have 2 Etsy shops now? My baby items weren't getting many views in the PrairieCottageRose shop. So I decided to open Puddintoes for the baby things. I had several cute shop names picked out, but finally decided on Puddintoes. That's my grandson's nickname! He's also here. And here. Because I wouldn't want you to miss out on any cuteness :)

THe STaR SPaNgLeD RuNNeR

Here are the first of the Americana table runners. The Star Spangled Runners are a new design for 2009. This first one is made from deeper toned fabrics that have the appearance of being tea-dyed. Each fabric has either stars, firecrackers, or American flags!

This runner is flat out red, white and blue. It's my current favorite. I am so loving the fabric of the center star because.....

It has the entire Pledge of Allegiance printed right onto the fabric!! Too awesome and perfect for an Americana runner! You will find The Star Spangled Runners at prairiecottagerose.

DAiSy CHAiNS

Daisy chain is my newest runner design. Can you tell how much I love flowers?!

This is daisy chain's sunflower friend. Both of these runners are available in my Etsy shop or on Ebay. I have some Americana runners finished and ready to photograph the next time the weather cooperates.... it's been very windy at the prairie cottage :)

full bloom

I'm busy cutting bunnies and eggs today, but wanted you to see these spring tulips. You'll find them in full bloom here in my shop.

Love happy spring tulips and can't help making a few, even though they're somewhat time consuming to make.

Oh, and the bunnies? No actual bunnies were harmed in today's projects :)

ruffled heartstrings

Just finished... Two new Valentine table runners. This one is a "heartstring" of five individual hearts joined together. It's made in rag quilt style, the edges clipped to allow the ruffling effect.

This runner is a simple rectangle with five hearts appliqued across the top. It is also made with the prim rag quilt process. I just love these happy Valentine fabrics and their bright colors!

You can find them in my Etsy shop or on Ebay.
